I'm definitely not one for DIY but I'm quite happy with how these turned out.

I love these sneakers, I've had them for a few years now and they went all over the US with me. They're so comfortable (I can't walk for very long in any shoes without my feet killing - I can last much longer in these than anything else!) and are that perfect amount of worn. Now they have a bit more character!
The studding was really easy to do, the studs all have 4 prongs on the back that push easily through the canvas fabric. I used a butter knife to push down the prongs on the inside of the shoe. I'll have to wear socks with these (folded down really low since they're quite low cut), because the prongs on the inside will scratch the skin.
I've still got heaps of studs left, and I've been searching through my wardrobe to find something else to stud (a white tee perhaps?). It's so addictive!

They look sick! :D Ahh I would want to stud every piece of clothing, cardigans, tees, everything! I want to get some but scared they won't come until like ages, mind saying which seller you got them from? :)
ReplyDeleteThey look brilliant! Cant wait to see what else you 'stud'!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you did a great job! I love how it looks :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you did a fantastic job! They look great x
ReplyDeleteI think a white tee or an army/olive green tee would look so good with studded shoulders or a pocket.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the collar of a trench?
Looks very cool though!

ReplyDeleteHead to Lorna Jane and buy a few pairs of Secret Socks (like these http://www.lornajane.com.au/accessories/socks/product/secret-sock) they are really comfortable and won't show at all.
