rocco
Meet Rocco! I've been obsessively tracking its whereabouts all week and as it had gone to my boyfriend's work, I could barely wait for him to get home with it (and to see him of course...!)
The studs are soooo shiny, I'll have to get a bag hook so I can try and make them stay that way as long as possible. The leather is beautiful, I love how pebbled it is. On the bus this morning I was absentmindedly stroking it while I read my book. That's not weird is it? :P
I'll have to remember to keep it hanging on the hat rack at home, I'm determined not to let it have the same fate as my Alexa - lovely chew marks courtesy of Lolly only a few weeks after I got it.

outfit post: blue collar

American Apparel unisex oxford shirt; Zara black waxed skinny jeans; Jessica Buurman black studded flats; Mulberry black oversized Alexa; Mimco 'Nebular' silver chain bracelet; Hermes clic clac;
MAC Hang Up lipstick; Ulta3 Enchanted nail polish;
I've wanted a blue collared shirt for a while, but the perfect one was hard to find. I finally found one in this unisex oxford shirt from American Apparel. For a unisex shirt it fits really well - although the buttons being on the wrong side is a bit odd!
My new job is going really well, I'm still trying to take it all in and remember everyone's names, but I love it so far. Unfortunately I've come down with some sort of cold, which is the worst possible timing! I'm trying to soldier on (while trying not to come into close contact with anyone!), as I can't really call in sick. Yuck!

duck inn

In our continued efforts to experience more of Sydney beyond the boundaries of our usual haunts of Newtown and Glebe, on Saturday night we went to Duck Inn in Chippendale, a cute and cosy little pub with bookshelf wallpaper, candelabras and board games. By far the best way to spend a chilly autumn night - with comfort food, cider and Uno. Afterwards we found ourselves in Newtown to get frozen yoghurt from Wowcow - yum!
(Sorry about the dodgy pics, I couldn't be bothered lugging the DSLR there).

outfit post: great news
Zara ivory shirt (similar here); Topshop black leather leggings; Jeffrey Campbell 'Uniform' silver glitter oxfords; Michael Kors rose gold chronograph watch; Mimco 'Meteor' statement necklace;
This is the outfit I wore the other night to dinner with ballet flats, Gillian and Helen at the Royal George in the city. No photos as I was too busy chatting away, but it was a great night (with great food!)
So I got some great news today - the job I had been interviewing for called my recruiter this afternoon to offer me the job! I start on Monday! I can't quite believe it took me about 5 days to find a job, I hadn't even started stressing yet! I'm so excited about it, the role is a much better opportunity for me than what I'd previously been doing, it's for an amazing firm and I get a small pay increase. Will definitely be heading out tonight to celebrate!
Thanks to all on Twitter for your help, advice and support! x
ETA: I just realised this was my 200th post! Yay for milestones!

outfit post: docs
Lover 'Daria' blouse; Witchery skinny jeans; Dr Marten Grace Bow boots; Mulberry black oversized Alexa; Michael Kors rose gold chronograph watch; Hermes clic clac;
MAC Hang Up lipstick;
Meet my new Docs. They're my very first pair and I'm in love. When Holly posted photos of hers I just knew I would have to be a copycat and get a pair too, they're perfect! I love that the grograin ribbon laces make them slightly more girly than grungy.
Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last post, I'm feeling much better about the work situation now and plan on using my first day of unemployment tomorrow to tackle my outdated resume and the Seek listings. One good thing to come out of my redundancy was a pretty decent payout, meaning I've now paid off the last little bit of my credit card, put a chunk away in savings, and paid a few weeks of rent and bills to keep me going. Plus I may even buy a little something for myself...perhaps a new handbag?

outfit post: cuffed hair

Witchery t-shirt; Zara black leather mini skirt; Tony Bianco 'Nemesis' lace-up wedge ankle boots; Michael Kors rose gold chronograph watch; Hermes clic clac; eBay gold hair cuff;
OCC Lip Tar in 'Stalker'; China Glaze Evening Seduction nail polish;
I lusted after the H&M hair cuff when pictures of it were all around tumblr a few months ago. I looked on eBay for ages but none ever popped up, until I found this one (though not by H&M - identical though!) from the same seller I got my metal belt from. I love it, it effortlessly makes a boring ponytail a bit more interesting, and as though I put a bit more effort into my hair than I actually did! When I wore it to work one day my colleague fell in love with it and requested me to get her a silver one.
In other, slightly depressing news, I was made redundant from my job yesterday. If you follow me on Twitter you'll know this. I want to say a huge big thank you to all my lovely Twitter friends who offered support and help, it means so much to me <3 So I'm about to embark on a new, slightly scary adventure, but hopefully it will all work out.

pink + cupcakes
Zara bright pink dress; Tony Bianco 'Febe' wedges; Tiffany & Co key necklace;
OCC Lip Tar in 'Anime'; OPI Skull and Glossbones nail polish;
On Saturday we went to my uncle's wedding in the Blue Mountains. It was a gorgeous day for a small, intimate wedding, and we had a great time catching up with family.
I amused myself by taking a million photos, as I usually do, mainly of my brothers playing handball, my 11-year-old brother and my stepdad trying on my massive sunglasses, the wedding cupcakes, my shoes the confetti, and of course, the wedding ceremony.

outfit post: pleated leather
Saba grey marle t-shirt; Portmans black leather pleated skirt (similar here); Jessica Buurman black spike flats; Sportsgirl crystal bib necklace; Michael Kors rose gold chronograph watch; Hermes black & silver clic clac;
Zoya Valerie nail polish; Chi Chi 'Hollywood Wannabe' lipstick;
This skirt is the latest addition to my wardrobe. Clearly last winter's obsession with leather skirts and pants has not waned, and I've already thought of a million ways to wear it, namely with cosy jumpers and ankle boots. I'm not really a fan of full skirts any more, but this one seems different to me somehow. I can definitely see it in a girly outfit, with a pussy-bow blouse and heels, but I'm planning on wearing it quite tom-boyish.
And again, I just had to take a photo of today's nail polish, Zoya Valerie. It looks like a flat dark purple in the shade and indoors, but absolutely comes to life in the sunlight. Gorgeous.
