I've been obsessed with these Zara floral pants for ages, and have been checking the Sydney Zara store religiously hoping they'll arrive soon.  I soon got fed up with waiting and bought them on eBay.  I wore them with my AA raglan pullover after seeing Yara from This Chick's Got Style wear hers with a grey jumper, but I'm looking forward to wearing them with a silk shirt and blazer for work (if I'm brave enough).

Today we went to a lunch for my boy's nan's 90th, and had a great day catching up with family.  We very quickly snapped these photos on the street near her house!

Yay for the second Friday of the week!  I'm quickly putting this post together while I sip on a glass of rose while my BFF Miss L cooks dinner for us all in my kitchen.

This was my outfit for casual Friday at work.  I've had this anorak for a little while but it hasn't gotten cold enough to wear it until recently.  I was always against 'parka'-like jackets since my mum forced me to wear a pink one when I was little - I didn't care if it was functional and kept me warm, it was hideous!  But I've definitely come around, I love how this looks and it's pretty much just a bonus that it's so warm and comfy (and has enough pockets that I probably don't need a bag - but I'll carry it anyway).

These are another set of photos from the weekend, wearing the new jeans I got at the Sass & Bide warehouse sale.  I love the colour of them and the fact that they're paneled, but I don't love the fact that the seam at the back of the knee has split already (and they're not even too small for me! :P).  Very questionable quality.

I don't usually wear a lot of jewellery, especially wrist jewellery, my watch and my Hermes clic clac are usually enough for me, but I really enjoyed piling on a few different ones, including the House of Harlow aztec bangle, which was a birthday gift from Elyse <3 And this Sportsgirl skull bracelet is so cute, I want to go back and get it in more colours.

Well it's been a while since I've done an outfit post!  Now that daylight savings is over and I finish work half an hour later than I used to, weekends have definitely become the only time I can take outfit photos.  So I've been super productive this weekend and taken 3 lots of outfit photos!  This being one of them.

I promise I do wear other things besides jeans and t-shirts!  Although it mightn't seem like it lately.  Now that I have my Pistols, I'm so inspired to come up with all kinds of different outfits to pair them with.  They're so versatile, and I can't see myself wanting to wear any other shoes ever again!

twenty five (part 2)

Thank you all so much for the lovely birthday wishes!  I had a great day on Wednesday (despite having to work!), and I was very spoilt!  At work the girls in my team bought me cupcakes, and my friend Sam sent me flowers.  And of course, after months of waiting, I finallyyyyy got my Acne Pistols, which were a present from the boy.  I promise to take some proper outfit photos with them soon!

After work we went to dinner at Porteno in Surry Hills.  We'd been wanting to go for a while, but the fact they don't take bookings for 5 people or under was a bit of a hindrance, and we struggled to find another meat-eating couple to go with us so that we could book in.  So we counteracted this by arriving just as they opened at 6pm, and were seated straight away.

The food was delicious, and we all ate way too much.  Afterwards we went upstairs to Gardels Bar for some cocktails.  Unfortunately it was a school night so we couldn't go too crazy, but it was a great night regardless.

twenty five (part 1)

What a wonderful weekend!  My birthday is this Wednesday, and while I'm not thrilled to be turning 25, at least I had a lovely weekend full of friends, family, food and fun (alliteration ftw).  Saturday night consisted of drinks and dinner with friends (including the gorgeous Elyse) in Glebe, and Sunday was spent out at my parents' property, having a barbeque lunch with family.

I got some amazing presents too, but I'll share all that with you on Wednesday, when I'm sure I'll have another post about my adventures on my actual birthday.

You might remember that I bought a pair of burgundy jeans from ASOS a while ago, as seen here.  Unfortunately they were way too big for me.  I thought I could make them work, but they're just too annoying to wear.  So in keeping with my new philosophy of only keeping items that are 100% perfect, out they will go.

I got these the other day from Sportsgirl, and these are so much better.  Higher waisted and a nicer, slightly purplish colour. It's crazy how many pairs of jeans I own now, considering that only a year ago, I lived in skirts and dresses!

Loving the short week this week, I can't believe it's Thursday already tomorrow!  That means it's nearly the weekend, and nearly time for my birthday celebrations, yay!

1.  Chocolate haul!  Neither of us are big chocolate-eaters so this should last us a few months at least.
2.  Stocking up on cider for the weekend.
3.  Breakfast with friends on Saturday morning.
4 & 5.  Frozen margaritas and chicken fajitas cooked up by my best friend miss L on Saturday night.  So good!
6 & 7.  Treats at my mum's for afternoon tea on Sunday.
8, 9 & 10.  My family's Jack Russell dogs had puppies! They're 2 weeks old and just so adorable.  I think I cuddled all of them at least once while I was there, and constantly had at least one on my lap.  I wish I didn't live in an apartment so I could take one home :(
